What is Epitalon?

Epitalon, also referred to as Epithalon or Epithalone, is a synthetic tetrapeptide composed of four amino acids. It is derived from a naturally occurring peptide called Epithalamin.  Epithalamin is produced in the pineal gland and was initially identified through extraction from calves.  The discovery of Epithalamin occurred in the 1980s, credited to Russian scientist Vladmir Anisimov, who is an expert in gerontology, the study of aging in older adults.

Usage and Storage

Store lyophilised protein at -20°c. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°c for a limited period of time. The lyophilised protein remains stable until expiry date when stored at -20°c.
